Shape our people agenda in Germany while driving Talent Rewards excellence across Europe
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager & Talent Reward professional to lead our HR team in Germany while driving the Talent Reward agenda of the company. As Head of HR Germany, you will be working within European HR team, and be responsible for leading and developing the HR function in Germany and acting as a strategic partner to the business and leadership team. You will shape and execute the people strategy, strengthen organizational effectiveness and culture, and ensure high-quality HR delivery across the employee lifecycle, in close alignment with the management teams in Europe and China.
In addition, you will take ownership of the Total Rewards agenda, ensuring competitive, transparent and compliant compensation and benefits practices aligned with local market requirements, business needs and the company’s global reward strategy.
The role combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on ownership of key people topics and requires strong business understanding, leadership capability and the ability to operate effectively in a complex international and cross-cultural environment. A key part of the role is to ensure that HR priorities, policies and execution are aligned across the German organization, the European management team and China headquarters, while appropriately reflecting local requirements and business needs.
What You'll Do
HR Leadership & People Strategy
Own and drive the HR strategy for Germany, ensuring alignment with Group HR initiatives, business priorities and the company’s global people strategy.
Act as the senior HR partner to the Managing Director and leadership team, providing strategic advice on people, organization, and leadership topics.
Lead and develop the HR team in Germany, ensuring effective HR delivery and strong partnership with the business.
Drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent management and organizational development in line with business needs and transformation initiatives.
Strengthen employee engagement, company culture and leadership effectiveness across the organization.
Act as the key escalation point for complex people and employee matters, ensuring appropriate, consistent and compliant solutions.
Total rewards strategy & execution
Own the Total Rewards agenda for Germany. Design, review and continuously improve the talent rewards policies and compensation processes to be in line with local legislation as well as the company's global reward strategy.
Lead job evaluation, job architecture, grading and salary band management across Germany/EU where applicable.
Drive annual salary review and compensation planning processes.
Conduct market benchmarking and salary reviews using reliable market data; recommend adjustments and budget implications.
Support the continued development of compensation frameworks, pay transparency initiatives and reward governance.
Manage benefits design and vendor relationships (healthcare, pensions, mobility, wellbeing, insurance).
Partner with payroll, finance and legal to ensure accurate rewards compliance operational excellence.
Provide rewards-related analytics, insights and recommendations to support data-driven decisions.
Stakeholder & cross-regional collaboration
Collaborate closely with HR, business leaders and headquarters stakeholders in Europe and China.
Build strong relationships with managers, work council representatives and external partners.
Navigate complex stakeholder environments and balance local requirements with global frameworks.
Who You Are:
10+ years of experience within Human Resources, including significant exposure to Compensation & Benefits / Total Rewards.
Previous experience leading HR professionals, HR teams or broader people initiatives.
Ability to lead and influence highly experienced HR professionals through collaboration, credibility and expertise.
Strong expertise in job evaluation, market benchmarking, salary reviews and compensation frameworks.
Experience in technology, engineering, automotive or fast‑moving product environments is considered meritorious.
Solid knowledge of German HR practices, labor law, compensation & benefits regulations, tax and social security considerations.
Strong business acumen with the ability to translate people strategies into business impact.
Ability to lead and influence highly experienced HR professionals through collaboration, credibility and expertise.
Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
